Meet me at the Barre......

Meet me at the Barre.... is something someone seems to hear a lot and NO I am not talking about a BAR/PUB, I am talking about the biggest fitness craze out there....Barre classes.  One thing you know about me is that I am a fitness instructor and Barre is one of the many classes I teach.

What is this Barre class?  Well it's a technique that helps you achieve a slim, strong, sculpted dancer’s body.  A workout that is designed around a ballet bar adding a few props including a exercise ball, yoga bands/straps, yoga mat and light weights.  Its basically ballet, pilates and yoga all combined into one workout. You use your bodyweight for resistance and while doing so it helps you strengthen your core and you learn how to have a better balance.

Let me just start of by saying that this is definitely a technique that WORKS!  It triggers all of your problem areas that is very hard to hit.  You ever wonder how do I get my thighs smaller?  How do I get rid of saddle bags or how can I get my butt lifted and firmer?  Well Barre is your answer.  One thing I definitely have is a booty....I can't help it, it runs in the family ;).  So my butt and thighs are area's on my body that I am constantly obsessing over to keep in shape. So when I first started to take barre classes I fell in LOVE!  I have never in my life felt such pain (good pain) in my body while I was taking the class.  I literally wanted to cry, I thought my muscles were on fire and out of all the workouts I do....I have never EVER felt that before.  So I knew that this is it, this is the one.  After taking that class in such a short period of time I definitely noticed my thighs and butt getting smaller and becoming a lot stronger/firmer.  I knew this is something I don't ever want to stop doing and that I need to promote this class.  So from there I went on getting trained to teach and have been instructing this for almost 2 years now.

There are many different types of Barre classes that you can take.  You will find a majority of them in boutique like studios that are licensed and or offer barre like classes.  It's gotten so big now that even major gyms are offering barre classes.  Depending on the city that you live in you should be able to find a studio or gym that offers it.  Below are a few of the different type of barre classes out there.  You can go to their website, do a little research to see if they offer classes in your surrounding area or even if you just want to order their DVDs for start (the DVDs are great as well).  These barre classes all bring a little something different to the table but they all offer the same purpose; which is working out at a ballet bar to sculpt/chisel your body.  Please see below:
