Brook
I’ve been called gypsy, whimsical, free bird, Ruby Tuesday, Babbling Brook, Brooklyn, Brookie, Babe and soon to be, Mom. To me, these names reflect the many chapters i've endured throughout my life. They also reflect my many Gemini personalities. :) Currently, during the day, my time is spent dwelling in a cubicle for the media industry, as a Digital Account Manager, for a sports radio station. At night, I enjoy slaving over tables as a waitress at a fine dining restaurant so, I can hang with my BFF. And yes, I sort of have a third job...I teach Zumba, the Latin dance aerobics, when I get the time. I do this to stay in shape and because I love dancing. In my free time, I hang with my 100% Italian boyfriend, who I’ve been in love with for over 7 years. Him and I are having a baby together...Are you ready for this?... Out of wedlock! This makes me nervous, excited, scared and happy, all at the same time. I have a BA from Michigan State University in Media, Arts and Sciences. I am a firm believer in education and one of the things i'm passionate about is the City of Detroit. One day, I hope to pursue my Master’s Degree in Urban Planning and Development so, I can help rebuild the city and it's economy. Like I said earlier, I love, love, love dancing! It's pretty much the only thing I'm confident that i'm pretty good at. I also love talking to strangers since EVERYONE has a great story. Being raised by an atheist mother and and agnostic father has made different religions and belief systems intriguing to me. They also help me find myself. To find solace, I craft and create or find new and exciting things to do and experience. I tend to be frugal with fashion and splurge on delectable foods and drinks. Before I became pregulated, I used to be referred to as the life of the party. I'm not sure what i'm going to be referred to now but, I do know that i will reinvent myself and be referred to something just as fun if not better. :)
"Do it for the story!"
This is who I am – I am a free spirit who loves life. I was born and raised in a small town in MI. I moved to LA when I was 20 to pursue my Fashion Career. I graduated from The Fashion Institute –FIDM, then I worked for the company GUESS INC. After 5 ½ years I came back to MI to start over and now I am off on my next adventure, my new home Charlotte NC. I am a certified fitness instructor. I teach many different types of classes including, Cardio Kickboxing, Spin, Barre, Bootcamps and I also have been trained for Mat Pilates. I love Fashion, traveling, the outdoors, snowboarding, working out, chocolate chip cookies, art, photos, reading, music and movies. I love laughing with my girlfriends and cuddling on the couch watching movies (yes, the corny romantic comedies as well as horror flicks) with my family. I am a go-getter who is not afraid to take chances. I sometimes come off shy but, I think I am pretty outgoing for the most part. I love making new friends. I’m a dork in disguise ;), I am a hopeless romantic who wears my heart on my sleeve and believes in soul mates. I love Halloween and scary movies but yet I have the biggest fear of ghosts and aliens. I have a curiosity in the spiritual world. I believe in Karma.
LIVE LOVE LAUGH FAITH AND COURAGE.
You love me or you hate me -This is who I am.

**Vegabond *gypsy* world traveler* indecisive* flaky**.. no matter what you call me, know that "I am the real deal."
Over the past 4 years I have been a foreign English teacher in places such as South Korea, Prague, Spain, and Switzerland. I had a rough first year in Korea but, decided to go back for seconds this past year. In between jobs, I have also been a part of a volunteer organization called, 'Trekking for kids', www.trekkingforkids.org. I have been able to meet children in Nepal, Tanzania and Ecuador and have also climbed some of the world's highest mountains and glaciers. Volunteering has always been a huge part of my life and it has been amazing to find an organization that combines two of my life's interests.
When I am not hiking, teaching or sharing my time with children in foreign countries, I LOVE taking pictures. I would say I am amateur but, my creativity and enthusiasm makes up for it. I enjoy being outside - biking, walking, sunbathing, anything on the water - ski, kneeboard, swim, tube (I am from Michigan <3 afterall), reading, spending time with my family and friends, watching movies - preferably horror (my little secret is that I LOVE to be scared), and watching ALL cooking reality shows and terrible reality shows (Bachelor/ette). I also love cooking! My specialty is Asian (Korean/Thai). I love trying to recreate dishes I've had just based on flavor and scent, and putting my own spin on it as well. The spicier the better, as long as it doesn't ruin the flavor.
Recently I came back to America, taught ESL in California, at an International camp, and fell for a boy. I know typical, but if you keep reading my blog you'll learn there's more to it. I firmly believe .
