Detroit City Revival

Over the past few years, out of many peoples’ mouths, I’ve heard an insurmountable amount of BS about Detroit.  It hurt my feelings, made me angry and also reminded me of the lost hope our fellow Michiganders have for their once thriving city.  Still in the face of disparity and negative comments about my beloved Motown, I held my head high and said, “You’ll see! One day Detroit will flourish again!”  Well my friends, I’m happy to say that the day is getting nearer.

Recently I picked up an issue of Detroit Crain’s Magazine.   This issue called “Living and Investing in Detroit” talked about the innovative happenings in the city going on right before our very eyes.  From investors to new businesses, housing projects and new artistic visionaries, Detroit is getting the improvement and attention it finally deserves.

Organizations are helping out young entrepreneurs raise money to open up their own businesses.  Housing incentives are getting pushed through to make it more affordable for people to live in the city.  Dan Gilbert is making investments and buying up building after building. This magazine even has excerpts from the national media saying that Detroit’s new ideas are making it an ever exciting new place to live!

It has been a lifelong dream of mine to buy and invest in something in the downtown area but, everyone always looked at me like I was crazy.

After you read this issue of Crain’s, if you don’t think investing in the city is a good idea, YOU ARE CRAZY!  It’s nice to see that I’m not the only one with a dream for the City of Detroit.  With hundreds of millions of dollars going into renovations, tons of teamwork from corporations, and the passionate city folk collaborating, the movement of Detroit has finally begun.

I will now start working harder and saving more pennies so, I can one day achieve my life long goal of attaining real estate in my favorite city. <3
Don’t be a fool.  Check out this issue now. You will surely be impressed!
