I love sharing with everyone that you don’t have to have money to have style. I feel like when I give myself a budget, it helps me be more creative with my attire. I see styles in magazines, on TV, or at the department stores. Then, I hit up the second hand stores, with the trends in my head, and try to copy what i've seen. I mix a little bit of my personality, with the hot prints and styles of the season. In the end, I am the canvas and the articles I’ve chosen are my work of art…which in exchange, feels rewarding. When someone says, "Omg...I love your outfit! Where did you get those pants, shoes, shirt, etc!" I have no shame saying I got them from Salvation Army. I feel proud. Which leads in to why i'm shamelessly writing this new blog post that is all about my cheap rings.
A few weeks back I stepped foot into one of my favorite stores, Debbie's Dollar. When you are penny pinching like me, Debbie's Dollar, will settle that shopping fix you have without making you feel guilty. I swear this dollar store is unbelievable. Every time I visit there I leave with something extremely impressive. This time was no different.
As I rummaged over their items, isle after isle, I came across some gorgeously, gaudy, shimmering, rhinestone, silver, and colored stoned beauties. There in front of my eyes, were the perfect rings. And they were only $1! What the heck?! I was just at the mall browsing around and the same exact style rings were there for 3, 4, and 5 times as much money!
Excitedly, I scooped up one. But, my eyes, caught another one I liked. Then another....and then another. Within the next couple seconds I noticed I had a handful of rings. I couldn't resist. I bought them all. Days went by and I kept pondering on the thought of how awesome these rings were. I wore a sparkly black rhinestone one to work and got a ton of compliments. The next day, I went back and bought more. I got some for me, some for friends and some for gifts.
I still can't believe how great of a deal I got. I wear my rings proudly and when someone asks where I got them from, I say with vigor, "The dollar store." It just goes to show, that you don't have to be Spendy to be Trendy. So here they are...my prized finds for all of you to feast your eyes on. Bling, Bling...My New Cheap Rings! If I didn't tell you where I got these rings from, would you guess the dollar store?
It's crazy to think these were only a buck. I have a ring that looks similar to the brown one, got it from premier design & paid a lot for it. I'm gonna have to check out this store.
